Method
- Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (392°F) to get it ready for crispy magic.
- Place the green beans in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss them gently with tongs until they're evenly coated and shiny.
- Sprinkle the salt and garlic powder over the beans and toss again to distribute the seasonings evenly.
- Arrange the beans in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they’re not crowded—this helps them crisp up nicely.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even crisping. You’ll hear a crackling sound as they get crispy and slightly charred at the edges.
- Once done, they should be vibrant green with some darkened spots for that smoky look and feel crispy outside but tender inside.
- Transfer the green beans to a serving dish, and if desired, squeeze fresh lemon juice over them or sprinkle with parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
- Let the green beans rest for a minute to allow the flavors to settle, then serve immediately for the best crunch.
Notes
For extra crunch, sprinkle panko breadcrumbs on the beans before air frying. Adjust cooking time for thicker or thinner beans. Use fresh green beans for vibrant color and texture.
